Overview

TP Tutors support vulnerable young people who struggle to access and engage mainstream education. We help to bridge gaps in their learning, instil confidence in themselves and re-engage with education.

We are looking for educators committed to doing the same! We are recruiting for FQT, HLTA’s and SEN/ SEMH specialists to tutor on a 1:1 basis, in Walthamstow, in English and Maths at a KS3 level.

Role

This tutor role involves:

  • Working with children who have SEN/ SEMH needs or looked after (LAC).
  • Providing educational sessions face to face with children at their homes or a public space e.g. library, community centre, etc.
  • Planning resources around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science.

  • Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with children
  • Manage and implement a range of behaviour strategies
