Overview

St. Bartholomew’s Hospital — Research Fellow in Cardiac Electrophysiology, 4 months fixed term contract

Barts Health NHS Trust is a world-class centre for cardiovascular medicine. We are a tertiary referral centre with an international reputation for leading research in cardiac rhythm management. We have a strong track record for clinical research and clinical trials in electrophysiology and device therapy.

This post has been designed as a research post for one person over 4 months. The objective will be for the Fellow to continue ongoing mapping studies, support new research studies with the opportunity of developing their own research. Publication of research material and presentations at national and international conferences is expected. The post holder will be a source of knowledge and technical support to the clinical and research teams and it is therefore expected that the post holder will be at a registrar level, already with significant experience of general cardiology and in particular electrophysiology and device therapy. The post holder is also expected to have a hands-on knowledge in using invasive cardiac electrophysiology mapping systems. Experience with the CardioInsight Non-invasive 3D Mapping System is desirable. The post provides an ideal opportunity to carry out clinical research and publish in the field whilst consolidating practical experience.
