A healthcare practice in Bristol is looking for a Treatment Room Nurse to join their experienced nursing team. You will deliver high standards of nursing care, perform wound care, administer immunizations, and assist in the leg club activities. The ideal candidate will be flexible, enthusiastic, and thrive in a practice environment. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop within a supportive healthcare team, working hours include Tuesdays and Fridays.
We are looking to recruit to the post of Treatment Room Nurse. You will work within our well established Nursing team. The role will involve general treatment room duties which include wound care, phlebotomy, travel health, health promotion, immunisations and cytology.
This post will require you to support the newly established PCN leg club at Hanham Community Centre which takes place every Tuesday.
The ability to work as part of a team is essential. The successful candidate will be well organised, flexible, enthusiastic and committed to working in a Practice environment.
This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of a fantastic team, Primary Care is constantly changing so there would be real opportunity to expand and broaden the role.
The hours are:
Tuesday - 11.00am - 4.00pm - 5 hours - Leg Club Hanham
Friday - 2.00pm - 6.30pm - 4.5hrs

To provide and maintain a high standard of nursing care for patients as well as providing nursing assistance to the doctors and other members of the primary healthcare team.
To work as a member of the general practice nursing team, to support the organisation and facilitation of clinical care in a holistic and proactive manner to patients registered at the practice.

Our list size of over 13,000 patients is growing rapidly. Provide nursing treatments to patients in participation with general practitioners or independently to agreed protocols
To undertake wound care and compression bandaging and attend the PCN Leg Club
To prepare/assist/facilitate vaccinations and immunisations and travel programmes
To undertake cytology screening
To undertake the collection of pathological specimens including intravenous blood samples, swabs, etc., and perform any investigatory procedures requested by the GPs following appropriate training
To participate in a family planning service to patients
Participate in the administrative and professional responsibilities of the practice team
Ensure accurate notes of all consultations and treatments are recorded in the patients computerised medical records
Ensure accurate completion of necessary documentation associated with patient health care and registration with the practice
Attend and participate in all practice meetings as required
Assist in the formulation of practice philosophy, strategy and policy
To undertake all administrative procedures relating to the post, liaising with the Nurses Practice Manager/GPs
To participate in the review of existing evidence-based nursing practice by using valid and reliable audit tools and published and validated research results from medical, nursing and paramedical data in order to effect changes in clinical practice
