Job Description

You will be a key part of the Transportation Europe & India Strategy & Growth team.

Through working with this team, you will lead and support in growing our business and supporting the development and implementation of our strategy. Your key responsibilities will include developing and implementing market‑leading approaches related to clients, our sectors, our people, and business operations.

About You

We are seeking a proactive, well‑organised, strategic thinker to join the Transportation Strategy & Growth team in Europe & India. You will play a vital role in driving sustainable, profitable growth and success across our business line in the region. This will be achieved through implementation of strategic initiatives, supporting key pursuits and leading part of our regional CAM program.

The position requires the ability to think strategically, manage complex projects, balance multiple responsibilities, and influence key stakeholders as well as a broad understanding of trends in the Transportation market. The position is based in the UK, and you may be required to travel to meet colleagues in UK, Ireland, and across the Europe and India region.

Working within the Transportation Europe & India Group
  • Growth & Strategy: Supports the Strategy and Growth Director and wider Strategy & Growth team to drive growth in Europe and India. Supporting the Regional Business Lines capability and capacity to deliver and harness our most significant pursuits.
  • Governance Co‑ordination: Manage the bid governance processes across the region. Facilitate co‑ordination across work‑winning functions in the region.
  • Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration within the Transportation BL and also between business lines.
  • Client Account Management (CAM): Be the Program Lead for a segment of the CAM programme for Transportation in the region. This would cover accounts with annual revenues of circa $3‑$5M. Coordinate with the CAM program across the region. Work with all Client Account Managers to support opportunities for growth with existing clients and projects.
  • Special Projects: Support special projects for transportation as needed to address specific business challenges or opportunities.
  • Initiative Tracking: Support the tracking, monitoring and reporting of key initiative implementation and their return on investment across the Regional Business Line.
Role Responsibilities
  • Support collaboration across both the European & India region and with the Transportation Global Business Lines on key pursuits and areas affecting market growth.
  • Support key pursuits and growth opportunities through development of value propositions and support to pursuit teams.
  • Participate in pursuit Steering Committees providing insights on pursuit progress to the Transportation Leadership Team.
  • Lead a segment of the CAM Program in Transportation EUR&I.
  • Work with business analytics to review key business and market trends and use this to inform strategy and growth activities.
  • Work with key stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor the Transportation EUR&I business development and investment budget and work with sectors and operations to draw key trends that help improve Return on Investment.
  • Coordinate pipeline analysis to help ensure the Transportation EUR&I has an appropriate pipeline of opportunities to deliver its Business Plan targets with respect to Net Service Revenue and Gross Margin.
  • Promote use of AECOM's Client Care Survey and lead business engagement with the client intelligence provided.
  • Provide information for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and monthly SOFT reports, ensuring accuracy, insight, and timeliness.

  • Experience in the planning, design or delivery of projects in the transportation market sector with a clear understanding of the process and practices involved in the design and delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate at different organisational levels.
  • Ability to challenge the norm and bring innovation and ‘blue sky thinking’ to business problems.
  • Experience in implementing data‑lead performance improvements.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, management, and communications skills.
  • Experience in research and analysis, strategic planning, financial analysis, and project management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding and experience of working in transport markets.
  • Degree preferred.
  • Member of recognised professional body relative to transportation markets.
