Transport Strategy Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week

Working Style: Mobile Hybrid

We are currently looking for a Transport Strategy Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of Transport Strategies and Policies for Neath Port Talbot Council and the Wider South West Wales Region, including the preparation of an Active Travel Delivery Plan for Neath Port Talbot Council.

Responsibilities
  • Work with the Programme and Commissioning Manager to ensure the Council complies with the Active Travel (Wales) Act 2013.
  • Prepare and review the Neath Port Talbot Active Travel Network Map and provide regular progress reports.
  • Manage the Active Travel programme for the delivery of Active Travel infrastructure in Neath Port Talbot Council.
  • Assess potential active travel routes and project manage the development and implementation of walking and cycling routes and facilities.
  • Assist in the preparation of funding applications for transport projects and other initiatives.

  • Minimum of a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject such as transport planning/engineering/environmental.
