A local government authority in Gloucestershire is seeking a Transport Project Officer to improve bus services through project delivery and community engagement. This role requires experience in transport planning and a strong focus on sustainable transport principles. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders and manage project progress effectively. You’ll be part of a dynamic team focused on delivering the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP), aimed at making bus travel more reliable, accessible, and attractive for all users. You’ll play a key role in delivering projects that enhance bus services and promote sustainable travel across the county. Your work will contribute directly to improving passenger experience, increasing bus patronage, and supporting Gloucestershire’s wider transport and climate goals.
You’ll bring a strong understanding of public transport operations and the challenges facing bus services. You’ll be confident working with data, managing projects, and building relationships with internal and external partners.
