We are recruiting for a Transport Planner to join a busy and well-established transport operation based in Leeds. This role is key to ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective planning of daily transport activities while maintaining high standards of service, compliance, and performance.

The Role

As Transport Planner, you will be responsible for coordinating day‑to‑day transport operations, supporting driver management, and ensuring legal, safety, and customer requirements are consistently met. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external transport providers to ensure smooth and efficient delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transport operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and service levels are achieved
• Support the management of drivers in line with company policies and procedures
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation, health & safety, and environmental standards
• Monitor transport performance and update KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure quality procedures are followed and raise NCRs where required
