Job description

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our fast-paced and growing logistics team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and has strong experience planning a mixed fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Effectively route a mixed fleet of vans and HGVs for nationwide home deliveries
• Plan and manage routing for up to 40 vehicles, including multiday routes
• Continuously review and adjust daily routes to maximise efficiency and service levels
• Communicate clearly with drivers, transport admin, and management
• Ensure all routing complies with transport regulations and company procedures
• Proactively identify and resolve any issues affecting delivery performance

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Transport Planner, ideally with mixed fleets and home-delivery or multi-drop operations
• Strong geographical knowledge and understanding of efficient routing principles
• Ability to perform well under pressure in a busy, fast-moving environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Experience with Maxoptra routing software is an advantage but not essential
