Overview

Due to continued business growth and newly awarded contracts, we are looking to recruit experienced Transport Planners at our Headquarters in Portadown for various shifts, including a rotating two week shift pattern.

Pattern 1.
Week 1 (Mon, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday) 8am to 8pm
Week 2 (Wednesday, Thursday) 8am to 8pm

Pattern 2.
Monday - Friday with work every third weekend

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the Transport Planner will be responsible for several duties throughout the shifts, including being in contact with both our customers and drivers, tracking and planning movements across GB/NI & ROI and working within a team to ensure all daily movements are completed at our industry leading standard.

This role is suited to an ambitious candidate with excellent communication skills, people who can create innovative solutions to new challenges and who can provide industry leading service to our customers.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day operations planning
• Ensuring best-in-class levels of customer service are maintained across all operations
• Completing all Planning details in the Business Operating System
• Work with the Fleet Management Team to ensure inspection & servicing of vehicles & trailers is carried out in required timescales
• Ensure the Company’s Health & Safety Policy is always complied with
• Close working with the Welfare Team to ensure our drivers have industry leading engagement

Essential Skills

• Experience in Transport Administration/Planning
• Excellent IT Skills and experience with using a Transport Management System
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland
• An understanding of driver regulations
• Excellent teamwork and the ability to work on your own initiative

The ideal candidates will be focused on service excellence, awareness of detail at the required levels and be a committed member of a team which shares clear service and performance goals.

Salary commensurate with experience.
