We’re looking for a talented Night Transport Operative and Day Transport Operative to join us on a permanent basis at our site in Robertsbridge, working Nights - Sun to Thurs 6pm to 4am. Days - Mon to Fri 7am to 5pm

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,900 (days) £32,100 (Nights) per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. Responsibilities
  • Be the primary contact point for customers and haulier partners
  • Provide customers with updates and ETAs throughout the day
  • Working with a team ethos to ensure an excellent and valued service is provided to all customers
  • Manage POD returns
  • Attend daily planning call to discuss any issues
  • To have the ability to react and positively adapt to the demands of the customers in a dynamic live environment.
  • Work with the Finance Team to resolve customer and haulier issues.
  • Effective record keeping and reporting
  • Invoice backhaul work completed
  • Updating of all trackers to confirm all deliveries are completed as planned
  • A team player with a flexible approach to working hours, showing commitment as necessary to satisfying fluctuating business demands.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient use of the transport planning systems adopting best practise and general housekeeping.
Qualifications
  • An understanding of transport sector
  • Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
  • The ability to work to deadlines efficiently and effectively
  • Experience within a customer service environment
