Job summary

A logistics company based on the outskirts of Ipswich is seeking a Transport Manager to lead the scheduling and dispatching of a fleet of HGVs. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of leadership experience in a logistics environment and possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. This role involves promoting company services and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in commercial operations, preferably in a supply chain or logistics environment.
• Knowledge of pallet networks and/or general distribution.

Responsibilities

• Lead the scheduling and dispatching a fleet of HGVs on a daily basis.
• Support a team of HGV drivers in line with Company values.
• Develop the customer base to increase weekly vehicle revenue.
• Track the performance and profitability of operations against financial targets.
• Promote the Company services and be a brand ambassador.
• Ensure vehicle revenues and customer service levels are maintained.
• Safety, health and compliance (Driver hours, WTD).
