This is a key role ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of goods across the UK, while maintaining excellent customer service levels.

Key Responsibilities as Transport Manager
  • Manage daily transport planning, scheduling, and vehicle utilisation
  • Manage and maintain company O‑Licence compliance
  • Oversee drivers, third‑party carriers, and a transport planning team
  • Ensure full compliance with UK transport legislation and maintain accurate fleet records
  • Work closely with internal teams to align transport plans with operational needs
  • Liaise with customers on delivery requirements and updates
  • Manage transport budgets, cost control, and operational reporting
The successful candidate
  • Proven experience in transport management within manufacturing, distribution, FMCG or 3PL operations
  • Strong knowledge of UK transport legislation and compliance
  • Strong IT skills and excellent leadership and communication abilities
  • CPC in Transport Management (Road Haulage)
  • Experience working with third‑party logistics providers
