A prominent recruitment agency is seeking a Transport Clerk/Administrator for a temporary to permanent role based in Rugby. This position offers a 4 on 4 off night shift schedule from 7pm to 7am. £25,130 pa – Rugby DIRFT based.

Role Description

Our client, a large distributor, is looking for a Transport Clerk / Administrator to work a 4 on 4 off shift, 7pm to 7am. This role will be temporary to permanent. You will have solid IT and administration skills and be a reliable helping hand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the systems are up to date with despatching and loading processes
  • Efficiently despatch deliveries with relevant paperwork
  • Use customer systems to update delivery information
  • Monitor the return of equipment
  • Directing drivers to the correct locations on arrival to site
  • Liaising with drivers on the gate communication system to make them aware of site procedures
Key Skills and Experience
  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English
  • Ability to effectively use IT, including Microsoft Office – Excel and spreadsheet knowledge a must
  • Methodical and able to follow instruction and procedure
  • Reliable
  • High levels of commitment and motivation, and can use own initiative
