Overview

VANRATH is supporting the recruitment of a Junior Transport Manager on behalf of a leading company within the Supply Chain sector.

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday. Permanent position based in Randalstown.

Key Responsibilities
  • Overseeing driver hours, ensuring Working Time Directive compliance, and managing conduct issues
  • Administering CPC training and updating driver records
  • Logging and reporting incidents and accidents accurately
  • Maintaining health and safety training records for drivers
  • Liaising with insurers to ensure appropriate coverage and incident documentation
  • Ensuring all waste transfer documentation is complete and compliant
  • Managing inspection, upkeep, and lease of fleet vehicles
  • Facilitating the purchase, sale, and disposal of vehicles and trailers
  • Utilizing digital tools to monitor fleet and manage fuel card systems
  • Conducting driver inductions and regular licence checks
  • Ensuring compliance with the company's Operator's Licence requirements
  • Keeping all waste collection permits and driver docket books up to date
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Previous experience in a similar transport or logistics role
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with both internal teams and client stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Proficiency in IT systems and Microsoft Office
