Our Transport & Asset Finance practice is highly regarded, specializing in the financing of tangible movable assets, with a particular focus on the rail and aviation sectors.

We are seeking an Associate to join our team with a primary focus on rail/rolling stock finance. As part of the team, you will work on significant and market-leading transactions, advising clients on all aspects of asset financing in the rail and aviation sectors. You will be responsible for managing smaller transactions, drafting and reviewing documentation, conducting legal research, and supervising junior team members. Additionally, you will support business development efforts and participate in client relationship management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advising clients on asset financing, with a primary focus on the rail sector
  • Managing smaller transactions independently and working on larger transactions with the team
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation
  • Managing client relationships and ensuring timely project delivery
  • Conducting legal research and providing guidance on key legal issues and risks
  • Supervising junior team members and contributing to their development
  • Supporting business development and client relationship management efforts
Skills and Experience Required:
  • 2+ years PQE
  • Experience in asset finance transactions
  • Experience in the rail sector (desirable) and/or aviation sector
  • General banking and finance experience
  • Experience with cross-border transactions
  • Strong legal execution, problem-solving, and drafting skills
  • Team player with a passion for sharing expertise
  • Ethical, professional, and client-focused
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek support
  • Excellent communication and commercial awareness
