A healthcare trust in Luton is seeking a Transformation Project Midwife to support the development and delivery of maternity services. The role involves coordinating change projects and representing midwifery care across multidisciplinary forums. Ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills, experience in managing change, and a commitment to improving care quality and safety for women and their families.
The Transformation Project Midwife will be responsible for supporting the development, co-ordination and delivery of change programme(s) which align to the National Maternity Transformation programme, as well as national and local maternity services requirements such as CNST and the Ockenden Report, and NHS Long Term Plan. To work as an autonomous, competent practitioner and to have expert clinical skills, ensuring appropriate assessment, implementation and evaluation of care is achieved. Act as a resource for other members of the multidisciplinary team. Represent midwifery care in all multidisciplinary forums and represent the Better Births lead in her absence.

All new staff will be subject to a probationary period covering first six months in post. Travel between hospital sites may be required. The post holder will demonstrate leadership skills to support with negotiation, change management and communication to support the Better Births lead and maternity services in overcoming barriers to transformation and change. Engage with service users and other stakeholders to ensure that activities to support delivering the project plan(s) are coproduced and responsive to the needs of women and their families. The post holder will work with key stakeholders to help develop and deliver a project plan to achieve the nationally agreed targets. The post holder will support the coordination of sub-groups arising from the project and monitor progress to ensure on-time delivery.
