A local police department in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a Detective Constable for the Public Protection Unit. In this role, you will manage high-demand investigations into Rape and Serious Sexual offences, provide support to vulnerable victims, and contribute to safeguarding initiatives. Our Public Protection Unit (PPU) is growing and you have a unique opportunity to be part of our transformation. We can now offer exciting opportunities to work within the RASSO teams based at Smithfield Hanley and Lichfield. The RASSO teams investigate high-harm offences against some of the most vulnerable people in our communities. As a detective in this department you will manage high demand, manage risk and support delivery of Operation Soteria. You will have responsibility for investigations into Rape and Serious Sexual offences. You will own complex investigations and provide support to vulnerable victims. This is one of the most worthwhile roles within Staffordshire Police where you can really make a difference.
