Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add an In-house Trainer to their team support the workshop / offshore services team.

This is a newly created role and you’ll be working closely with an In‑house Assessor, and In‑house Verifier to ensure training delivery is met.

Initially, this will be a 6-month FTC position, however potential for ongoing work after this period. This would suit candidates who are either retired, in‑between roles, or full‑time employees who are looking to reduce to part‑time hours.

Hours: 8am – 5pm (3 days per week)

Salary: £45k – £55k (pro rata)

Daily Duties –
  • Overseeing on‑going training, competency assessments, and best practices to support all levels of workshop‑based employees e.g. Trainees, Mid‑Level, and Senior Technicians
  • Deliver technical training courses to small group of personnel
  • Communicate confidently with all levels of management to provide update on training programmes and schedules
Candidate Requirements –
  • Previous experience within workshop or offshore (ideally) environments working “on the tools”
  • Knowledge of either hydraulic systems, riser systems, power units, or downhole equipment
  • Experience within a training industry or capable delivering training confidently
  • Familiarity with competence assessment processes (desirable)
  • Able to follow work instructions and procedures
