What will I be doing?\
\

You’ll be out on the road, visiting a variety of client sites — from hospitals and schools to commercial and industrial settings — making sure their water systems are compliant, clean, and safe.\

Your day-to-day will include:\
\
    \
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), sampling, flushing, disinfecting, and chemical treatment of water systems\
  • \
  • Performing remedial works, tank cleans, and chlorination\
  • \
  • Ensuring compliance with ACOP L8, HSG274, and other water hygiene regulations\
  • \
  • Recording and reporting site activities accurately using company systems\
  • \
  • Spotting and reporting system issues before they become bigger problems\
  • \
  • Representing SMS Environmental professionally with clients on-site\
  • \

  • Communicates clearly and professionally with clients and colleagues\

  • Is willing to learn, take guidance, and build confidence working both independently and as part of a team\

  • Can manage their time well and follow instructions\
  • \
  • Holds a full UK driving licence (or is working towards one, if applicable)\

  • Is able to pass Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (Enhanced DBS check)\
