Overview

Trainee Sewing Machinist – a brilliant opportunity to join our client, a world-leading designer and manufacturer of medical devices that help improve the quality of life for people with disabilities around the world. Staffline is recruiting a Trainee Machinist in Redruth.

The rate of pay is £12.21 per hour. 12 weeks of temporary work, leading to permanent employment for the right person. This is a full-time role with fixed shifts.

Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday 7am - 12pm.

Time at Work

As a Trainee Sewing Machinist, your duties include:

  • Sewing bespoke garments including reinforcements and fastenings.
  • Following different patterns to work from.
  • Check products to specifications.
  • Sewing alterations as required.
  • Log work on manufacturing software.

There is an element of manual handling for this role.

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will work well with their hands, be thorough and precise, and show a high level of attention to detail, with an interest in textiles. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and be numerically competent and computer literate.

Experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.
