Trainee Plant Operator – Power Station

Circa £30,000 - £35,000 + benefits

Snetterton area, Norfolk

MC Technical Recruitment are currently recruiting a Trainee Plant Operator to join a biomass power station near Snetterton in Norfolk. As a Plant Operator you will be responsible for a range of operational activities to ensure the plant hits its production targets in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Performing plant walk-arounds and inspections, ensuring optimum performance of machinery
• Assisting with plant shutdowns and preventative maintenance
• Training up on the DCS (Distributed Control System)
• Operating a range of mobile plant including FLTs, excavators etc
• Undertaking training on the operation systems and operator duties
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly plant condition
• Performing these duties on a day's / night's shift pattern basis
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• To be considered for this role you should have :
• Production / operations or maintenance experience in a heavy industrial environment : food, manufacturing, chemical etc etc. (Military Engineers are also encouraged to apply from the Navy, RAF or Army)
