Overview

A successful, well established provider of non-destructive testing to the welding and fabricating industry is looking for a Trainee NDT Technician to join the team. They offer a salary of up to GBP 28,000 per annum, progression opportunities as you gain experience and certifications, a company pension scheme and annual bonus, fully funded training and support towards further PCN qualifications (for example RT or UT) and/or apprenticeship in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). The opportunity provides a chance to work within a supportive team and develop a long-term career in a specialist industry. Full training and support will be provided, with opportunities to gain further qualifications and develop specialist skills.

What You'll Be Doing

Based at their facility in Cannock, Staffordshire and occasionally working on customer sites, you will assist in the delivery of non-destructive testing services to a wide range of industries.

  • Support the performance of Non-Destructive Testing in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
  • Learn to interpret and evaluate test results in line with acceptance criteria.
  • Produce accurate and professional test reports.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and professionalism at all times.
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver client requirements.
We're Looking For a Trainee NDT Technician With
  • A keen interest in developing a career in NDT and engineering.
  • Ideally, a PCN Level II qualification in MT (Magnetic Particle Testing) or PT (Penetrant Testing), however not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel and work away when required.
