Opportunity

Due to continued growth, our client has an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Freight Forwarder to join their European operations department located in Mountnessing, Essex. This is a full‑time, permanent position. Monday – Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Position Overview

This is a trainee role and is ideal for someone who is looking to start a career within the Logistics industry. Our client is an international freight forwarding agent, who specialise in the logistics of Beers, Wines, and Spirits. Knowledge, experience and understanding is at the heart of their mission, as well as a drive to appreciate the needs and requirements of every single customer, no matter their size or whatever their budget may be.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process new customer orders on operating system.
  • Liaise and coordinate with stakeholders such as suppliers and carriers to ensure prompt collection and delivery of shipments.
  • Support the end‑to‑end freight forwarding operations, primarily using sea containers, intermodal rail and road trailers.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or delays that may arise during shipment.
  • Maintain accurate records, including transport arrangements and shipping tracking.
  • Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and provide updates to customers.

  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications.
