About Our Client

Michael Page are actively partnering with a long standing client who are seeking a Trainee Settlement Analyst to join their team in East Leeds on a permanent basis. My client is searching for a progressive individual who has a keen eye for detail and is looking to develop as a business analyst. They are open to applications from recent graduates in Finance, Business Management, Mathematics and Economics who are looking to make their mark in truly commercial role. My client is a medium sized organisation in the Energy industry, and are well known for providing top quality working culture and training to their staff.

Job Description
  • Monitoring half hourly and non-half hourly settlement performance
  • Working to the BSC (balancing and settlement code) regulations and ensuring business compliance
  • Liaising with other suppliers and third parties to resolve any queries or ongoing problems.
  • Ensuring that the performance of appointed agents is satisfactory to facilitate compliance.
  • Independent monitoring mailboxes daily to correct issues.
  • Identifying and reporting any non-compliance reasons and providing and implementing resolutions
  • Support internal and regulatory metering reporting as and when required.
  • Internal Process Improvement and Implementation
  • Effectively managing workflows in our internal CRM to monitor the progress of problem resolution on specific customer accounts.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with our industry partners and other third parties, collaborating effectively for the resolution of settlement errors at both single account and whole portfolio scales.
The Successful Applicant

A successful Analyst should have:

  • Graduated in Finance, Business Management, Mathematics and Economics is preferred but no essential
  • Experience in the Energy industry is preferred but not essential
  • Experience in Metering or Settlement is preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in analysis and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a fast-paced professional services setting.
