Overview

P+S Personnel are pleased to be working on behalf of our clients, who are currently seeking s Trainee Cable Moulding Technician to join their team based in Great Yarmouth on a full-time, permanent basis.

The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Wiring, termination and moulding of cables and connectors to a very high standard in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpretation of wiring diagrams to complete tasks with excellent attention to detail.
  • Correct use of electrical test equipment.
  • Preparation of materials and parts used in cable manufacturing following company procedures.
  • Inspection of cables and report generation following company procedures.
  • Continue to build and expand knowledge of cable and connector types and processes.
  • Consistently demonstrate the ability to observe and promote safe working practices.
  • To carry out other duties as required.
Person Specification
  • Previous soldering experience is preferable.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams is preferable.
  • Prepared to observe safe working practices - using chemicals (COSHH).
  • Demonstrate suitable skills or experience for the role.
  • The candidate will hold A Levels (or equivalent) in Maths, Science, and Technology and have the ambition to learn and develop in a trainee role.
  • The applicant will need to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and be able to confidently make objective decisions. Technical interest in engineering principles, techniques, and practices is key.
  • The applicant will need to demonstrate a confident “can do” attitude in a fast-paced environment and must be a team player. The applicant will need to be an excellent communicator and offer exceptional attention to detail.
