Role: Trainee Audit Accountant

Location: Brighton

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm

A minimum of 30 hours per week will be considered

Pay: 25,000+ depending on exam progress

The Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of practical experience, ideally in an accountancy or audit role
  • Currently studying or keen to study towards ACA or AAT qualification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
  • Well-organised and able to manage deadlines
  • High level of integrity and an ethical approach to work
  • Good IT skills, including Excel and accounting software
  • Strong team working skills and problem-solving ability

The Role:

  • Assist with the completion of assigned audit engagements within the office and at client premises
  • Manage daily activities to support Audit Seniors and Managers
  • Communicate issues clearly and effectively, suggesting solutions
  • Conduct audit procedures, testing and evidence gathering to support conclusions
  • Ensure compliance with department procedures, legislation and professional standards
  • Support the audit team with research, reporting and documentation
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation and training requirements
  • Demonstrate focus on professional development and career progression
