A fast-growing accountancy practice in Brighton is looking for a Trainee Accountant to join their Audit department. The role includes assisting with audit engagements and managing activities to support the Audit Senior. Ideal candidates should have some experience in an accountancy practice and be studying ACA or AAT. This position offers a salary of £25,000 to £28,000 along with various employee benefits including generous holiday and pension contributions.

Qualifications

We are working with a fast-growing full-service accountancy practice to recruit a Trainee Accountant to join the Audit department of the office in Brighton. The business provides accountancy, taxation, payroll, advisory and financial planning services to thousands of customers including businesses and individuals / sole traders. As a Trainee Accountant you’ll work in the Audit team to further your career in that area with this fantastic Brighton based accountancy practice.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the completion of assigned audit engagements, reporting to the Audit Senior.
  • Managing your own daily activities to assist the Audit Senior.
  • Conduct assigned audit engagements to agreed audit plan.
  • Complete audit programs and conduct testing procedures.
Requirements
  • Some experience in an accountancy practice
  • A current and active studier of ACA or AAT
  • A keen interest in a career in Audit
Salary, hours and benefits
  • £25,000 to £28,000
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm, fully office based in Brighton
