Job summary

A respected planning consultancy in Gatwick is seeking a motivated Town Planner or Senior Town Planner. This role involves leading planning projects, supporting major DCO and EIA projects, and liaising with clients. Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years' experience in the UK planning system, strong communication skills, and be MRTPI qualified or working towards it. Town Planner / Senior Town Planner

Location: Gatwick, London

Are you an experienced and motivated Town Planner looking to work on some of the UK's most exciting and high-profile infrastructure projects?

We're currently working with a respected planning consultancy in the Gatwick area, who are seeking a Town Planner or Senior Town Planner to join their growing and dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a company involved in nationally significant DCO (Development Consent Order) and EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) projects.

The Role:
  • Lead and manage smaller planning projects from start to finish.
  • Support on major projects, including DCO and EIA work, as part of a wider multi-disciplinary team.
  • Attend client meetings, liaise with external consultants, and contribute to strategic planning advice.
  • Take an active role in project coordination and delivery across a variety of sectors.
  • Be a key point of contact for clients and play an important role in building lasting relationships.
What We're Looking For:
  • At least 3 years' experience within the UK planning system.
  • Excellent understanding of planning legislation and local government workings.
  • MRTPI qualified or working towards it.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Experience working on DCO and/or EIA projects would be advantageous.
