Town Planner

Location: Nottingham

Are you a motivated Town Planner looking to take the next step in your career? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected private planning consultancy with over 40 years of experience, a strong local reputation and an exciting growth plan for the future.

Based in Nottingham, the team is known for delivering high-quality planning advice across a wide range of development sectors. You will be supported by experienced seniors and directors while being encouraged to develop your own portfolio of clients and projects.

The Role

You will work closely with colleagues and clients to deliver successful planning projects. This position offers a varied workload and excellent opportunities to learn, progress and build your expertise in both development management and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing planning advice to clients across different sectors
  • Assisting with or managing planning applications and appeals
  • Preparing planning statements, appraisals and supporting reports
  • Coordinating consultant input and liaising with local authorities
  • Supporting Local Plan representations and public consultation work
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of planning policy and legislation
About You
  • RTPI accredited or working towards Chartered status
  • Around 1‑3 years of post‑graduate planning experience
  • Experience within a consultancy or local authority setting
  • Strong communication and report‑writing skills
  • Eager to learn, progress and take on responsibility
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (mileage allowance provided)
