Are you an experienced toolmaker? Do you hold a relevant qualification and have experience of manual machining? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Our client, an automotive manufacturing business, is recruiting for an experienced Toolmaker for their site in Minworth. The role will involve maintaining engineering tooling.

Employment Type: Permanent

Salary: Dependent on experience

Shift Pattern:

  • Week 1: Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 14:30, Friday 06:00 - 12:00
  • Week 2: Monday - Thursday 13:30 - 22:00, Friday 11:00 - 17:00

Location: Minworth

Job Description
  • Manufacturing and maintaining moulding tools to engineering drawings, timing plans, and high tolerance standards, ensuring readiness for production.
  • Carrying out proactive and reactive tooling maintenance, logging all repairs, concerns, and activities accurately within the system.
  • Investigating tooling issues, identifying root causes, and feeding back findings to design and management to prevent repeat failures.
  • Liaising closely with setters to resolve mould tool issues, maintaining spares, equipment, and components to minimise downtime.
  • Maintaining excellent housekeeping, Health & Safety, and 5S standards, working systematically with strong verbal communication skills.
Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications
  • Holder of a relevant qualification (toolmaking apprenticeship, HNC, HND, etc)
  • Experience of bench fitting and manual machining using lathes, millers, and surface grinders
  • Experience of working with injection mould machines
