A leading engineering company in Cheltenham is seeking a Toolmaker to join their team. Qualifications

  • Experience in tool and fixture manufacture is essential.
  • Background in production environments with CNC familiarity.
  • Strong grasp of manufacturing engineering principles is required.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain tooling and ancillary equipment.
  • Support Operations with manufacturing and quality issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Provide feedback on tooling design and improvements.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and fitness of equipment.
  • Supervise apprentices and support departmental KPIs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects.

Location: Cheltenham

£40,000 - £42,000

Day Shift 7.45am – 4.45pm (12.30pm finish on Friday)

About the company

This market leading engineering company are recruiting for a Toolmaker to join their site in Cheltenham. The company manufacture and supply a range of specialist products to various industries across the globe.

Responsibilities
  • In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for producing and maintaining tooling and ancillary equipment used in the manufacture, assembly, and testing of our product range.
  • Manufacturing and maintaining tooling and equipment for company operations globally.
  • Supporting the Operations department on a day-to-day basis with any manufacturing, maintenance or quality issues.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations at all times.
  • Collaborating with Operations and Process Engineering teams to resolve manufacturing, maintenance, and quality issues.
  • Providing feedback on tooling design and suggesting improvements.
  • Maintaining high standards of quality and ensuring equipment is fit for purpose.
  • Supervising apprentices and supporting departmental KPIs and strategic goals.
  • Actively contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
