  • Carry out precision grinding of small high precision parts.
  • Maintaining tooling spares.

They are now seeking an experienced Toolmaker to join their rapidly growing business, where you will be part of a team servicing & repairing multi-stage progression tools.


They are experiencing a significant period of investment, with a newly built state-of-the-art facility to support their expansion efforts, this is a prime opportunity to join a growing business that offers long-term job security.


Salary: Up to £37,000 + annual bonus


Benefits: 25 + 8 days holiday


Working pattern: Mon-Fri


Location: Based in Dudley; relocation to a brand-new state-of-the-art facility in Worcester mid-2026. The role may require relocation with the candidate.



Responsibilities


  • Assembly & dismantling of press tools to regrind parts / replace press tool punches, dies, springs etc.

  • Manufacture new tooling parts using conventional tool room equipment such as surface grinders, conventional miller, pedestal driller and centre lathe.

  • Carrying out preventative die maintenance (PDM), production tooling problem solving.

  • Contribute to the development of the tool room.

  • Carry out precision grinding of small high precision parts using jigs & fixtures.

  • Maintaining tooling spares.



Qualifications


  • Be time-served with a solid background in the use of conventional tool room machinery.

  • Be able to read engineering drawings.

  • Have experience of maintaining and repairing press tools.
