Job summary

A manufacturing company in Rochdale is seeking a Tooling Technician to maintain and improve tools and fixtures used in production. The ideal candidate will have experience in tooling or manufacturing and be proactive, with good communication skills. This role offers a competitive rate of GBP20.37 per hour and a contract type of Contractor.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and modify tools and inserts
  • Inspect and prepare new tools
  • Support tool testing and make adjustments
  • Source spare parts and materials
  • Manage tooling and fixture requests
  • Repair production fixtures and storage equipment
  • Work with other teams to plan tool repairs and reduce downtime
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure quality
  • Help document and manage custom tooling needs
  • Assist with tooling for post-moulding and assembly work
  • Support process improvements and new product launches

Job Role Tooling Technician

Rate Of Pay - GBP20.37

Hours Of Work - Monday to Thursday 8-5, Friday 8-1.

We re hiring a Tooling Technician to join our manufacturing client in Rochdale. You'll report to the Technical Support Manager and be responsible for maintaining and improving the tools and fixtures used in production.
