Tooling Operative - Warehouse Environment

Location: Queensway Industrial Estate, Scunthorpe

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm

Pay: £12.21 per hour, with an increase after a successful 12-week period

Contract: Full-time

The Best Connection are looking for a Tooling Operative to join a busy warehouse team based in Queensway Industrial Estate, Scunthorpe. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining equipment, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, inspect, and maintain tooling equipment for production use
  • Strip down tools for cleaning, inspection, and refurbishment
  • Use an industrial jet washer to clean tools thoroughly and safely
  • Complete maintenance report sheets accurately and on time
  • Ensure all tools are stored, tracked, and maintained to high standards
  • Support production teams with tooling requirements and troubleshooting
  • Follow health & safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organised workspace
  • Record and report any tooling issues or defects promptly
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a tooling, warehouse, or manufacturing role (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic mechanical knowledge or willingness to learn
  • Counterbalance FLT licence is an advantage but not essential
