The Protective Security Team are responsible for keeping Thames Water people, infrastructure, physical assets, operations, processes, and data secure to ensure the business can deliver essential services to their customers. Understanding the threats posed to our assets and operations is vital to be able to provide the necessary level of security service to the business.

What you’ll be doing as a Threat Intelligence Specialist Security Advisor
  • Monitor, collect, assess, and analyse data turning information into actionable intelligence.
  • Produce timely, accurate and concise threat assessments, reports/presentations as required.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify and develop new avenues for intelligence gathering/sharing.
  • Maintain threat intelligence databases.
  • Conduct verbal presentations/briefings on findings across the business.

Location – You will be based out of our Kemble Court, Reading office.

Working 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As part of the security team, you will be required to travel across the Thames Water region.

What you should bring to the role
  • Minimum 12 months of experience in Threat intelligence gathering and analysis, preferably within a regulated, structured, or protective security environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
  • Verbal presentations and briefings.
  • Ability to process and make sense of large volumes of data from numerous sources.
  • Working flexibly dealing with urgent requests, quick changing priorities, and deadlines and support the team with other security-related work.
  • Use of intelligence systems and databases.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of current affairs and global security.
  • Understanding of the intelligence principles and the intelligence cycle.
