Theatre Technician – Salary £30,291 – £33,000 pa pro rata
  • Contract: Permanent
  • Hours: Part time (4 days per week during term‑time plus 8 non‑term days)
Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Theatre Technician to play a key role in a busy and ambitious performing arts department, featuring two theatres, a drama studio and an array of multi‑use spaces. The role involves setting up equipment and ensuring AV, lighting, sound and power requirements are met for all events, productions and school activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with setting up and dismantling equipment for school life events
  • Ensure AV, lighting, sound and power requirements are met for all events, productions and school activities
  • Operate lighting and sound control systems in a theatre setting
  • Prepare video and audio edits using Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop and Logic Pro
  • Perform manual handling and heavy lifting of theatre equipment and climb ladders safely
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of lighting and sound control within a theatre setting
  • Experience with video and sound editing (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Logic Pro)
  • Confidence in manual handling/heavy lifting of theatre equipment and climbing ladders
