Overview

A Vacancy at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Our Theatre Circulating Assistant has a strong knowledge and experience in operating theatres with an excellent understanding of the perioperative needs of patients. You must be organised, have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with experience of supervising a multi-disciplinary team providing the highest standard of patient care across a varied caseload. You must be motivated and enthusiastic with a passion for high quality patient care, as well as the ability to work well under pressure and flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Work as a member of the peri-operative team to ensure the provision of an efficient and high quality surgical service.
  • Ensure a welcoming, caring and safe environment, and promote, maintain and monitor standards in accordance with Trust values.
  • Help and offer support for patients undergoing surgery.
  • Support the team to prepare a wide range of specialist equipment and other medical devices required during surgery.
  • Support the Theatre Practitioners, position patient for surgery, and conduct a full swab, sarps andinstrument ciunt.
  • Participate in the training and development of colleagues.
