Job summary

A reputable restaurant in Maidenhead is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and developing menu ideas. The ideal candidate will have proven experience as a CDP, a passion for food, and the ability to maintain high food safety standards. This role offers 45 hours per week with various additional benefits, including complimentary meals during shifts and opportunities for career progression within the company.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sous Chef, The Sous Chef will support our Head Chef in the running and development of the team in training, Health and safety and Menus.

About the Sous Chef role
  • Reporting directly with the Head Chef, and deputising in their absence
  • Working with the Head Chefto develop new menu ideas and ways to improve our offering
  • Ensuring the food quality is at its highest standard at all times
  • Ensure the performance of the chef team is of the highest standard by motivating and leading by example
  • Overseeing stock levels and making key decisions about stock control in conjunction with the Head Chef
  • Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are maintained to the highest standard

Hours per week : 45

Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a CDP, senior CDP.
  • Proficiency in diverse cooking techniques and cuisines
  • Leaving Cert level education or above
  • NVQ qualification or equivalent
  • Ability to display a real passion for food and customer service
