A leader in renewable energy solutions in the UK seeks a Test Technician to conduct testing of HVDC and FACTS products. The role requires NVQ level 2 or equivalent in electrical safety and at least three years of experience with electrical systems. Responsibilities include preparing test equipment, conducting tests, and documentation of results. Candidates must be detail-oriented and willing to learn. The Test technician will carry out the testing of HVDC & FACTS Products in line with project deliverables and support the Test engineers and Manufacturing Manager as required. This is a role where safety is critical in a fast‑paced environment and sound decision making within the SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) framework will be required. The Technician will ensure all health and safety requirements are upheld, company policies, procedures and legal regulations are strictly followed. They are responsible for conducting tests on products, systems, or components to ensure they meet specified performance criteria and quality standards. The Technician will operate the automated test equipment and achieve production targets through test. This role involves setting up and operating test equipment, documenting findings, reporting defects, and working closely with production teams to address quality issues.
