Test Manager (SC Cleared) – Strategy, Test Solutions, Leadership
Contract - 3-6 months
London - hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
We are looking for an SC cleared Test Manager to plan, deliver, schedule and coordinate the test requirements for multiple cross-functional project teams within a government environment.
Requirements
- Deliver complex multiple projects in accordance with SLAs, programme/project plans, and requirements.
- Construct test solutions for complex projects and engage with business and operational stakeholders and technical teams to gain agreement on solutions.
- Matrix manage multiple cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive test coverage.
- Manage and document the testing process, ensuring that all testing activities are executed effectively and efficiently.
- Define and document the Test Strategy and supporting test governance.
- Deliver a test approach to prove the viability and functionality of any changes to Service Capability services.
- Define and document testing policies, ensuring each change meets stakeholder processes and policies, while in compliance with national policies and governance.
- Document and deliver bespoke test plans.
- Document and define the Issue Management processes and use appropriate tools to track and report issues.
- Embed rigorous project risk and change management processes and procedures, escalating issues where appropriate.
- Coordinate testing activities, establishing the resource model, technical support, test tools suite and add to the pipeline forecasting work to ensure adequate resource planning and the optimum use of Service Capability resources.
- Deliver test artefacts to time, scope and quality, to ensure all projects are delivered in line with stakeholder governance framework, with supporting evidence in accordance with the Test Strategy and Government/National policy.
- Perform stakeholder engagement to identify and understand individual and collective national stakeholder requirements, interests and influences and to manage their expectations.
- Create/Review and collate test coverage requirements, meeting time, quality and cost constraints.
- Create/Review and collate test execution and test results documents along with supporting evidence for test closure and CAB approval.
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in test management and leadership of cross-functional teams.
- Proven ability to define test strategies and support test governance.
- Experience in documenting and delivering bespoke test plans.
- Able to embed project risk and change management processes.
- Proven background in engaging with both internal and external senior stakeholders.
- Experience of working within government or defence environments is desirable.
