Job description

Company Description

Cell therapies have been shown to cure devastating and previously untreatable diseases like cancer by re-programming the patient's own immune system. Giving more patients access to these life-saving therapies requires a revolution in manufacturing and process automation.

Cellular Origins , a TTP company, is enabling scalable, cost-effective and efficient manufacture of cell and gene therapies. Our technology addresses the challenges associated with manufacturing at scale with an elegant robotic manufacturing automation solution that reduces cost and labour, eliminates human error, and increases efficiency.

Job Description

This is a great opportunity to join our Product Delivery team and play a key role in shaping the future of the Cellular Origins’ Constellation system.

As a Test Engineer, you’ll sit at the heart of product delivery, working closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists to bring our vision to life through development, integration, and rigorous testing. You’ll ensure our robotic systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance.

Working together with design teams, you will initially be focused on integration of our mobile robots with their associated workstations, creating test plans, running procedures, and evaluating performance to ensure smooth and reliable operation. Your experience working with industrial robots will help you to diagnose faults, provide feedback to the design team and recommend solutions. Reliability testing will form a key part of this phase to ensure our system withstands the rigors of real-world application.

In the longer term, you will transition to more formal verification of robot functions, generating protocols, managing changes, maintaining traceability, overseeing tests and writing reports. Your attention to detail and strong documentation will make you key to successful system verification and release.

This is somewhere to really make your mark, working in a technically challenging and impact-driven venture, with bright and committed peers, to define the future of cell therapy manufacturing.

Qualifications
  • A strong engineering background with a focus on hardware, systems or computer science, gained either by degree or vocational route.
  • Proven experience of testing and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems, preferably within a product development environment.
  • Robust technical analysis and documentation skills including generating Test Protocols and Test Reports.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and fast-paced environments.
  • This role will be a full time on-site position at our campus in Melbourn.
  • A solid understanding of robot integration, control systems, and testing methodologies.
  • Familiar with modern programming languages such as Python and robotic software frameworks (ROS).
  • Experience working with industrial robotic systems.
