A leading timber processor is seeking an ambitious Area Sales Manager to cover South‑East England. The ideal candidate will have a proven sales track record in timber or building materials and excel in building relationships with customers. Responsibilities include managing a customer base, generating sales, and achieving targets while maintaining excellent account management. This role offers a dynamic sales environment with plenty of growth opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of selling timber or building materials into the builders' merchant sector.
  • Experience working with buying groups or their members is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Managing and growing an established customer base while generating new business opportunities.
  • Building and nurturing strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
  • Achieving and exceeding annual sales targets.
  • Taking ownership of the territory and driving continued growth.
  • Managing the full sales process and ensuring excellent account management.
  • Planning journeys efficiently and maintaining contact with all accounts.
  • Undertaking occasional overnight stays and site visits.
