Job summary

A leading construction consultancy is seeking a Temporary Works Advisor in Leatherhead. You'll coordinate safety standards and manage Temporary Works designs, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory processes. Ideal candidates will have a civil engineering degree and experience in overseeing Temporary Works schemes. This role supports a commitment to health and safety on site and requires effective communication with designers.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience overseeing Temporary Works schemes as a TWC or TWA.
  • Experience in design and/or engineering management.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Temporary Works between site teams and designers.
  • Review TW design briefs and issue approved briefs.
  • Manage designs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.

Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Temporary Works Advisor!

As the Temporary Works Advisor, you will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities
  • Coordination of Temporary Works between site teams and designers
  • Review of TW design briefs prepared by site teams
  • Issue of approved briefs to framework designers
  • Management of designs to ensure requirements are met and appropriate levels of checking are carried out
  • Ensure implementation on site follows approved and checked designs
  • Site inspections and issue of TW Permits
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the safety and health framework, policies and management system requirements and expectations
  • Understand and effectively undertake H&S accountabilities
  • Manage design developments till approval and implementation
  • Liaise with different designers simultaneously
  • Comply with commercial processes
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Joint Venture policies and processes
What are they looking for?
  • Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent
  • Experience of overseeing a broad range of different Temporary Works schemes, preferably as a TWC or TWA
  • Experience in design and/or engineering management
  • Knowledge of Temporary Works management procedures
  • Awareness of commercial processes
