Overview

Temporary Teaching Assistant – Level 4; Hours – 20 per week (Term Time Only); Salary – Grade 7 - £31,022 x 47.48%; Required for January 2026 (1 Term Initially).

Aberdare Park Primary School is a successful school serving the community of Aberdare within RCT. The Governing body wishes to appoint a caring, dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA – Level 4) to join our supportive and committed team primarily to cover PPA across the school. We are looking for somebody with commitment, energy and drive to join our team and work closely with staff to provide positive learning experiences for all our pupils. The successful candidate will work in partnership with the teaching staff to maintain and continue to develop an innovative, dynamic and engaging learning environment to ensure that our motto of ‘Every Child, Every Opportunity, Every Day’ is realised.

  • Be able to support in the delivery of high quality learning experiences for all pupils.
  • Actively support the school and pupils in promoting and embedding the use of the Welsh language across all areas of school life.
  • Have high expectations of learning and behaviour and inspire and motivate our children.

  • Communicate well with parents, carers and members of staff, as well as pupils.
