Fixed‑term contract for an initial period of three months, with the possibility of extension.

Our shops are the face of our retail brand, run by a dedicated, creative and passionate bunch of superstars. Focusing on sustainable fashion, engaging with local communities and leading our volunteers to deliver a great colleague and customer experience, we raise much‑needed funds to deliver an Equal Future for disabled people and their families.

As Temporary Shop Manager of Scope’s Aylesbury shop, you’ll have autonomy to run your shop using your creativity and flair to flourish in our retail environment. Our retail roles are full of variety, and every day is different! One day you might be generating and processing stock and designing an eye‑catching window display. The next day you might be recruiting and training our wonderful volunteers. Every day there will be a different challenge that you’ll find extremely rewarding.

Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for day‑to‑day shop operations, ensuring smooth retail service.
  • Generate and process stock, maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
  • Design compelling window displays to attract customers.
  • Recruit, train, and manage volunteers, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, placing customer needs first.
Qualifications
  • Relevant retail experience, or strong desire to develop in a management role.
  • Can‑do attitude, team‑player mindset, and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Shop hours

Scope Charity Shops are open every day. Full‑time hours are 35 hours a week, working five days out of seven. Part‑time vacancies use a seven‑day rota. Weekend and Bank Holiday cover is required.
