We are looking for Temporary Service Managers who will instil a culture of continuous improvement. You will support the Business Manager with the leadership and management of care and support services. The positions are temporary to cover maternity leave in our Learning Disability division.

You will ensure that personalised care and service is provided to vulnerable people with complex disabilities and the service area/staff team meet all statutory requirements, professional and best practice guidance in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures and Sunderland Care and Support quality standards.

The Role
  • Assist the Business Manager in the management of a range of community services or support teams, ensuring balanced workloads and the efficient delivery of the service.
  • Support the Business Manager in the management of 24/7 services which respond to emergencies and deliver planned interventions.
  • Lead, manage and supervise a team or a range of individual small services within the company’s Supported Living services, providing and promoting person-centred care and support to vulnerable customers including people who have a range of mental health needs, learning and physical disabilities, and require differing levels of support.
  • Ensure the effective and efficient management of a high-quality service. You will be responsible to deliver the following: Being responsive to the changing needs of customers; Meeting all Health and Safety requirements; Ensuring all company Policies and Procedures are followed; Meeting all required CQC and/or Ofsted standards; Providing a supportive and rewarding environment to the company employees; Delivering care and support in line with the company; Ensuring good governance of your service area.
