Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Temporary Accounts Assistant to join a transactional finance team in Warrington. This role requires solid clerical finance skills, as well as the ability to process purchase ledger transactions and cashbook posting efficiently. About Our Client

We're supporting a business in Warrington who are looking for a Temporary Accounts Assistant to provide cover within their transactional finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong clerical finance skills who is available at short notice. Sage 200 is desirable but not essential. Immediate start.

Job Description

The Temporary Accounts Assistant duties include: Transactional finance tasks, such as:

  • Purchase Ledger processing onto Sage 200
  • Cashbook posting
  • Excel‑based reconciliations (including inter-company)
  • Supporting with Sales Ledger invoice raising
The Successful Applicant

A successful Temporary Accounts Assistant should have:

  • Accounts background
  • Ideally Sage 200, but desirable not essential
  • The ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and improving processes.
What's on Offer
  • An hourly equivalent to £28-30k, weekly pay.
  • Flexibility between 8:30am-5pm (37.5 hours per week)
  • Hybrid working available: 3/2 or 4/1 office/home depending on preference
  • The wider team works from home on Fridays, so a 4‑day office‑based week can also be considered if needed
  • Free parking
