A leading dementia support charity is seeking a Telephone Support Volunteer to provide vital telephone support to people affected by dementia. You will be a key point of contact for service users, ensuring they connect to appropriate support and services. Flexibility in working hours is offered, with a focus on empathy and excellent communication skills. This remote role is crucial for supporting individuals in need, requiring a commitment to personalized service and strong interpersonal skills.

As a Telephone Support Volunteer you will help people living with dementia, affected by dementia or people that are worried about their memory connect to support and services that are available to them. You will provide a service that is tailored to a person’s needs, interests, abilities, history and personality. You will be a key point of contact for people using our services, ensuring that we keep in touch with people at a time when they need our support.
This role will be subject to a satisfactory Criminal Records Check from either the Disclosure and Barring Service (England & Wales), Disclosure Scotland Check (Scotland) or AccessNI (Northern Ireland). We are looking for a personable, confident and chatty person - preferably with lived experience, however this is not required as we will provide training.
We want to be as flexible as possible around the time that you can give to us, so we will work around your availability where possible. The hours will be within 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday.
