Job description

The Lincolnshire Electronic Assistive Technology (EATS) Service works with adults and children with complex physical and/or communication disabilities. Following an assessment, the team makes recommendations and provides the most suitable electronic assistive device to promote independence, communication and improve quality of life of the patient.

Responsibilities
  • Provide skilled support work for the activities of qualified clinical team members (speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, clinical scientists) and other AT Team staff.
  • Assist in the assessment and provision of electronic assistive technology to children and adults with severe physical and/or other disabilities.
  • Manage a caseload and work under the indirect supervision of a qualified HCPC registered professional.
  • Maintain a good knowledge of information technology and electronic assistive technology.
  • Maintain, configure and utilise the equipment used for assessment and provision purposes.
  • Undertake appropriate administrative, clerical and housekeeping duties including decontamination of stock returned to the service.
