Job Purpose: To survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, support, assemble and test various STATS tools/services and equipment in the workshop and the field, and to operate various tools in a safe manner while ensuring a quality product and service is provided to the client at all times. Act as a main point of contact for clients while offshore/at client locations.

Responsibilities
- Workshop Role
- Survey, disassemble, repair, evaluate, assemble and test tools/equipment to STATS and STATS customer/client standards/procedures.
- FAT involvement to bridge workshop and field activities.
- Maintain high quality standards for STATS products and services.
- Work safely to protect colleagues, visitors and clients on site.
- Move materials/equipment within the shop area; report any material or equipment defects to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Ensure all drawings, procedures and instructions are up to date before work commences.
- Aid in proposing and introducing new assembly/testing techniques to improve productivity or safety.
- Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor on issues; report environmental and health and safety issues; work within STATS standards and procedures.
- Assist in creating risk assessments and maintain material certification/traceability for all materials used.
- Aid in selecting tooling and capital equipment and support PE’s and Workshop Supervisor with material/project issues.
- Field Role
- Travel to onshore/offshore sites in the UK and overseas to support STATS operational requirements.
- Maintain high quality standards for STATS products and services; report defects to Field and Workshop Manager.
- Ensure drawings, procedures and instructions are current prior to work.
- Propose and introduce new assembly/testing techniques to improve productivity or safety.
- Liaise with Field & Workshop Manager on issues; involve in environmental, health and safety matters; assist in risk assessments as required.
- Coordinate with Field Technician Level II & III or Project Engineer on material/client/project issues.
- Ensure gauge/inspection equipment is correct and current prior to use.
- Support other departments as required.
- Individual Quality and Safety Responsibilities
- Comply with STATS and client quality, safety and environmental management systems and procedures.
- Immediately report accidents/incidents/near misses/hazards and complete relevant paperwork.
Experience / Competence / Skills / Knowledge
- Competent in understanding engineering drawings, terminology, assembly and pressure testing equipment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/specifications; safe use of assembly and test equipment and tools.
- Ability to use inspection equipment and understand various assembly/testing methods.
- Ability to work on own initiative and plan assembly/testing methods.
- Team player with a high standard of work respecting client lead times; professional representation of the company.
Qualifications
- Mechanical trade with good understanding of assembly and pressure testing techniques.
- All-round experience of oilfield processes and safety controls.
Personal Qualities
- Ability to work as part of a small, focused team; flexible with shift work as required.
- Positive attitude; ability to use lifting equipment; understanding of environment, health and safety.
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
